Buzz Benson has been an active investor and advisor in the healthcare industry for over 30 years with more than 25 years of private equity experience. Buzz founded SightLine Partners in 2004 and led the effort to establish it as an independent firm by acquiring the healthcare venture capital operations from Piper Jaffray Companies. SightLine Partners is an alternative investment management company based in Minneapolis, which provides custom equity financing for differentiated growth-stage healthcare companies. Prior to SightLine, Buzz served as President and Managing Director of Piper Jaffray Ventures from 1992 to 2004 and established and co-headed Piper’s healthcare-focused investment banking activities from 1986 to 1992.
