Scott Rheinish is Senior Director of Research and Development at AcuFocus. Under his leadership, new products are developed from the initial concept through product launch. He brings foresight and experience to the role, overseeing design enhancements that improve performance and usability. Before joining AcuFocus in 2020, he led the design and buildout of a new medical device manufacturing facility, including a 6,500 sq. ft. validated class 7 cleanroom.
In addition to R&D, for the past 30 years in the medical device industry, Scott has held diverse positions spanning facility design, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and procurement. He is known for his innovation and strategic vision that reduces the gap between strategy and execution. He is the inventor of nine patents. For Scott, the highlight of working with a groundbreaking IOL technology is the satisfaction and happiness of patients post-cataract surgery.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial technology from National University.
